Pastor Amar Rambisoon

Pastor Amar Rambisoon

In August 1989, Pastor Amar Rambisoon and his family moved from New York City to Central Florida. As soon as they settled in, they began a Home Bible Study group. In just two short years the group had outgrown their home and moved into a thrift store. In July 1992, they officially launched the church called “Deeper Life Assembly." With the formation of the church, the Lord instructed Pastor Amar to leave his lucrative job in the secular marketplace and proceed full time into ministry. God promised Amar, “If you will build my house, I will build yours.”

Our first worship service was held at a campground in Winter Garden. Very quickly, we moved to a conference room at a nearby hotel with a group of about 50 people. In 1994, we became a Chartered Church with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. As our membership continued to increase, it was evident that our church facilities on Hart Street would no longer be adequate to accommodate the rapid growth. We sold the facilities and purchased five acres of land on A.D Mims Road in Ocoee.

During the next growth spurt, we saw the congregation grow to over 200 people while we met at a local community center. It was obvious that this had to be a temporary situation for facilitating growth and we proceeded to build our current facility on the five acres. Our dedication service was held in December 2000.

In less than two years after moving into the sanctuary, the membership had exceeded to over 500 people. It was time to expand again. In 2004 we purchased thirty-three acres in addition to the five acres to get ready for the expansion. At Deeper Life Assembly, we were absolutely amazed and humbled in the way God had brought people together to break down cultural, racial and social barriers to form a truly unified body of believers.
